Job Summary:
The Occupational Therapist, reporting to the Recreation Manager, evaluates and treats residents' adaptive behavior and function. They develop and implement treatment plans, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with professional standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assess residents' adaptive behavior and create treatment plans.
- Collaborate with teams, ensuring goal-oriented therapy.
- Uphold ethical and safety standards in therapy practices.
- Support staff development and adhere to regulations.
- Maintain professionalism and contribute to research efforts.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist with a bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 2 years geriatric clinical experience preferred.
- Proficient in computers; geriatric clinical experience a plus.
- Strong communication skills for residents and teams.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Clean Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain.
