Occupational Therapist

Summary

The Occupational Therapist (OT) organizes and conducts occupational therapy programs to facilitate the rehabilitation of the physically handicapped.  Directs patient participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce and enhance the quality of life.  Facilitate learning skills and functions essential to increase productivity, to diminish or correct pathology and to promote and maintain health.  Establishes and maintains good working relationships with Colleagues, guests, nursing staff and the medical staff.

Position Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.  Must be certified or eligible for certification in the State of Indiana. Preferred Education: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy Preferred Experience: One-year clinical experience Certifications Required: Licensed as an OT in the State of Indiana by the Indiana Health Professional Board. An IN temporary license is accepted for up to 90 days; must obtain an active OT IN license within 90 days of hire. Current CPR certification for Health Care Professionals. Certifications Preferred: Advanced practice certifications, such as Certified Hand Therapist
