Occupational Therapist

Position Summary

Conducts occupational therapy treatments as per the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP). Performs ongoing assessment and completes documentation as per DOH Early Intervention Guidelines.

Primary Position Responsibilities

Provides developmentally appropriate therapeutic interventions. Completes thorough and accurate daily session notes and progress summary. Maintains acceptable levels of patient care productivity. Counsels and educates patient/family/caregiver. Communicates with other essential medical personnel and other providers including other EI providers. Completes all required DOH Early Intervention documentation.

Patients, physicians, families, community agency personnel, local school districts – child study teams, staff and colleagues

Qualifications

Minimum Education: Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy or related field Preferred: Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy
Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation): Required: 1-3 years experience: will consider new graduate Preferred: None
License, Registry or Certification: Required: Current New Jersey State-Occupational Therapy License Preferred: None
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities: Required: Pediatric experience; Knowledge of Neuro-developmental and Sensory Integration treatment, typical/atypical child development
