Occupational Therapist

Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

Must be 18 years of age or older Must have a valid driver's license License Certification (current PA OTR / Licensure) Bachelor's Degree (Graduate of an Accredited Occupational Therapy Program) 0-1 years (experience working w/ IDD Preferred)

 

We are seeking a Part-Time Occupational Therapist to join our team in our Hummelstown, PA location.

 

Position Details

Provides evaluation/consultation in all areas of occupational therapy following Merakey policy and procedures. Determine the need for upper extremity orthotics and device; prepare, monitors and revise them as needed. Creates and maintains appropriate documentation (including assessments, and appropriate tools to assess and goal planning) with accuracy and completeness. Develops, conducts, and participates in training to all parties involved in providing successful therapy. Works with Psychology Department on equipment required for behavioral intervention. Collaborates with team to determine individual equipment needs, including wheelchair adaptations and feeding equipment in the Program and Residential setting. Participates in developing work assignments for the Motor Development Specialist(s) in the area of Program implementation. Makes recommendations to Program Director concerning overall goals, objectives and functioning of Therapy Department; assists in revision of Department policy and procedure. Participates in OT/PT clinics. Performs related work as required.
