Position Summary:
Performs Occupational Therapy treatments as prescribed by referring physician. Conducts patient evaluation and treatment, documents patients status. Proposes programs, assists in planning, supervises students as assigned, and maintains department in efficient working order.
Qualifications:
Required:
Possess BS degree with a major in Occupational Therapy. Possess 3-6 months of related experience. Trained and educated in age-specific categories being served: infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric. Capable of spending 1-10% of time lifting, moving or carrying items weighing 25 pounds or more. Current registration through the State of Michigan. Maintain competencies to assure patient safety, i.e., CPR, Infection Control, etc. Ability to effectively communicate and present self to people in courteous, tactful and poised manner.Preferred:
Current Certification and membership through the Michigan Occupational Therapy Association and AOTA.
