Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Provides Occupational Therapy assessment and therapeutic interventions to individuals within a wide range of diagnoses including general medical, orthopedic, neurologic and cardiovascular in the area of functional activities related to activities of daily living, upper body strength and mobility.

Provides education to patients, appropriate family members and friends in order to restore patient's functional independence and reduce or prevent long term disability.

Assists the patients to reach their maximum potential and return to their family and community.

Coordinates and collaborates with other disciplines and implements the programs of the Rehabilitation Department under the general direction of the Rehabilitation Manager.
Qualifications

Minimum:

One (1) year of experience preferred as an O.T.R. in a physical disabilities setting, in acute care or acute rehabilitation.

Preferred:

Prefer affiliation with AOTA. Prefer experience with rehab therapy either through educational affiliations or prior work experience.New grads will be
considered.
