Occupational Therapist Burn
Under the Direction of the Clinical Supervisor Rehab, the position will evaluate, plan, and implement appropriate treatment programs for patients following burns, disease, injury, or debilitating conditions. This position will instruct the patient/family and coordinate treatment with aftercare services to facilitate the rehabilitation needs to function independently by administering therapeutic exercises and modalities. This position will observe patients and determine the effects of treatments, fit and train patients in using splints and orthotics, and aid patients in mobility and dressing, and grooming.   Hourly Pay Rate: $39.96 - $58.94   Qualifications Education: Requires a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy. Experience: Requires a minimum of zero to one (0-1) year of clinical OT experience in inpatient and outpatient services (therapy school experience acceptable). Must have forty (40) hours of AZ Burn Center orientation with burn occupational therapist(s) or have at least 1 year of burn experience within the last 5 years. Certification/Licensure: A current or temporary Arizona state Occupational Therapy licensure is required. Requires a BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center within three months. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must possess good verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills, including knowledge of basic grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English. Must be able to communicate effectively with patients and staff members. Requires excellent organizational skills, working with professionals, and maintaining confidentiality standards. Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet designated deadlines are required.
