Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire an Occupational Therapist.
As an Occupational Therapist at MercyOne, you will Plans, administers, implements, and evaluates occupational therapy for all appropriate programs and services within the PM&R department, for all patient age groups. Possesses the skills necessary to provide direct patient care specific to each age group in accordance with department protocol. The age of the patients served range in age from infants to geriatrics.
**Schedule:**
+ Inpatient works 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
+ Outpatient varies based on the clinic, but these coverage dates would be pre-scheduled. Would be mainly Dubuque coverage
+ Every 6th weekend (Saturday only)
+ 1-2 holidays per year which includes associated holiday weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
**General Requirements:**
+ Must be able to function as an occupational therapist in all commonly practiced aspects of patient evaluation and treatment appropriate for the assigned age group.
+ Must have ability to give clear instructions to individuals and groups ranging from infant to geriatric.
+ Must have ability to plan day-to-day activities and work independently.
+ Must be able to put patients at ease and make them comfortable.
+ Must possess strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate the ability to effectively work with other hospital employees and guests.
+ Must demonstrate the ability to interact with others in a helpful and courteous manner.
+ Must be competent in providing clinical care to the patient population described in the department’s description of services section of the policy manual.
+ Demonstrates and promotes customer satisfaction.
**Education:**
+ Registration through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NCBOT)
+ Bachelor’s Degree Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
+ Licensure (or eligibility for licensure) by the State of Iowa to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
