**Overview** **Position:** Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist **Location:** 1915 S Dean Road Suite 170 Orlando, FL 32825 **Schedule:** Part Time Mon - Fri. Up to 24 hrs per week **Compensation:** Starting at $46+/hr. Starting rate calculated by experience. Select Physical therapy is now hiring a part-time Occupational Therapist at our new Alafaya area center. Hand thearpist will treat various upper extremity disorders ranging from tendon injuries, sprains, strains, post-operative fractures, and more. We are seeking a hand therapist who is skilled in custom splinting. Occupational Therapist will be working with our regional hand therapy coordinator to ensure you have what you need for success. A certified hand therapist (CHT) is preferred, but we are willing to consider occupational therapists with 1 year of experience working with hand patients. We can mentor an occupational therapist aspiring to be a certified hand therapist. We have a network of hand therapists and CHTs available for support. Let's foster your growth. **Responsibilities** + Responsible for the evaluation, plan of care, treatment, re-evaluation, discharge, and appropriate communications of high quality hand therapy services to patients and customers. + Develop treatment plans, supervise assistants and aides, contribute to case management, and provide quality patient care. + Maintain positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff. + Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception). **Qualifications** + Must be a graduate of an AOTA accredited school of Occupational Therapy and state OT License required + Minimum 1 year current experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedics is required + Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification + Valid driver’s license **Additional Data** _Select Medical is committed to having a workforce that reflects diversity at all levels and is an equal-opportunity employer.
