Occupational Therapist-Home Health Care -Pay Per Visit

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under general supervision of the therapy supervisor, implements treatment programs and organizes and conducts a variety of sensorimotor, educational, recreational and social activities designed to help clients regain physical or mental functioning and/or adjust to their handicaps.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Four (4) year baccalaureate degree program accredited by the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association. Registration by the State of Michigan as an occupational therapist. One (1) year of clinical experience. Must possess a current State of Michigan driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

May need to lift, carry, bend, stoop or be otherwise physically active in the normal course of job duties.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Works in the client's home which is an uncontrolled environment. May be exposed to potentially infectious materials, bloodborne-disease pathogens and hazardous waste. Drives to and from the clients' homes located in the Detroit Metropolitan area in varied weather and traffic conditions. Must have reliable transportation and a telephone.
