As an Inpatient Occupational Therapist, you'll work one-on-one with hospitalized patients to bring them a sense of normalcy and independence through self-care management and Activities of Daily Living. You are comfortable communicating and educating patients, family members, and caregivers on how to best assist with daily routines. This role gives you the opportunity for interdisciplinary team collaboration to ensure the best and most evidenced based practice for our patients.

 

Clinic Information: PT Solutions Physical Therapy partners with Dameron Hospital (managed by Adventist Health) to provide quality occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech-language pathology for patients with a wide variety of medical diagnoses. Dameron Hospital is a 200+ bed inpatient, acute care, Level I Trauma center that holds Joint Commission accreditation as a Primary Stroke Center and Blue Shield designation as a Knee and Hip Replacement Center of Excellence. As a clinician here, you will work with an interdisciplinary team and evaluate, treat, and reassess patients in all areas of the hospital. Dameron Hospital is 50 minutes from Sacramento, 90 minutes from San Francisco and three hours from Lake Tahoe.

Your Responsibilities as an Occupational Therapist – Inpatient/Acute Care 

Deliver evidence-based, quality care to each patient empowering them to previous level of functioning or proceed to next level of care 

Establish timely treatment plans for each patient’s specific needs  

Demonstrate a positive connection with patient, fellow clinicians, and other team members  

Build and maintain relationships throughout the hospital (I.e. physicians, case management, nurses, etc) 

Qualifications  

Graduate of an AOTA approved occupational therapy program 

State Licensure 

Registered with NBCOT 

Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association 

Compensation
Base Salary $114,400 - $120,000+ / Annually
