Occupational Therapist - Lymphedema Certified
The Occupational Therapist provides personal care and professional excellence by evaluating and when indicated, providing the appropriate treatment for pediatric patients to facilitate remediation of or compensation for physical, cognitive or perceptual deficits, in order to promote the greatest amount of independence possible. Job Summary:  + Evaluates patients referred to Occupational Therapy; recommends treatment on basis of evaluation; plans and carries out or supervises treatment programs. + Evaluates progress, adjusts treatment approach as necessary and terminates treatment when indicated. + Writes initial evaluations, progress notes, re-evaluation reports and discharge summaries. + Participates in the supervision of assistants and students regarding treatment of patients. + Fabricates splints and/or casts as per need and physician’s orders. + Submits necessary reports according to the policies and procedures of the  Occupational Therapy department and Wood County Hospital. Minimum Education: + Must have a B.S.
