**Overview** **Position:** Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist **Location:** Houston, TX (Hedwig Village) **Schedule:** PRN, as needed **Compensation:** $45.00 - $50.00/hour Select Physical Therapy is seeking a per diem Hand Therapist-Occupational Therapist for our outpatient orthopedic center! Although a certified hand therapist (CHT) is preferred, we are willing to consider occupational therapists with a level II fieldwork in hands (required). We have a network of hand therapists and CHTs available for support and are excited to mentor occupational therapists aspiring to be a CHT. **Why Choose Us:** + **Hand Therapy Program:** Our national hand therapy program spans 32 states, with over 300 CHTs and 300 hand therapists across the country. + **Mentorship:** (Available in most regions) Our nationally-supported mentorship program is for therapists interested in pursuing their CHT credentials. + **Educational Opportunities:** Take part in the National Upper Extremity (UE) symposium, national journal club, free local continuing education programs, national study group, and additional certification courses. **Responsibilities** + **Collaboration:** Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management. + **High Standard of Care:** Stay current and up to date with occupational therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB,clinician expertise, patient perception). + **Personalized Treatment:** Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment, from evaluating and creating a plan of care to treatment and discharge. + **Relationship-Building:** Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff. **Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications:** + Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) -accredited school of occupational therapy + CPR certified + Valid driver’s license **Preferred Qualifications:** + At least two years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic + Minimum two years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred **Additional Data** _Select Medical is committed to having a workforce that reflects diversity at all levels and is an equal opportunity employer.
