Occupational Therapist- Part time

This is a Part-time role working 20 hours + a week.

Salary is $ 32-34/Hr based on Experience.

PURPOSE:

To deliver occupational therapy services as mandated on student IEPs in accordance with Illinois State Board of Education requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The list of essential duties and responsibilities, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the task to be performed. The omission of an essential function does not preclude management from assigning duties not listed herein is such duties are a logical assignment to the position.
1. Develop in collaboration with team members, appropriate IEP goals based on formal and informal assessment results.
2. Participate in IEP meetings as required throughout the school year
3. Submit quarterly progress reports to Principal and Clinical Coordinator of Therapy in a timely manner for distribution to parents/guardians.
4. Update quarterly benchmarks related to IEP goals at designated times.
5. In collaborations with the classroom teams, arrange for and perform activities, materials, and prompting activities that relate to IEP goals throughout the school year.
6. Provide and documents direct/consult therapy minutes as required on each student IEP on caseload throughout the school year.
7. Interact with school team regarding recommendations throughout the school year.
8. Participate in all classroom team meetings on caseload throughout the school year.
9. Participate in all scheduled in-house training throughout the school year.
10. Complete progress/contact notes on appropriate form and maintain in specified location throughout the school year.
11. Provide two to three in-services, either individually or in conjunction with another clinical area, for staff, parents, and those providing a continuum of services for the students throughout the school year.
12. Establish and maintain a consistent form of communication with the parents/guardians of students as needed on caseload throughout the school year.
13. Provide support, resources, and recommendations for classrooms on caseload as needed throughout the school year.
14. Provide supervision to interns, paraprofessionals or COTAs throughout the school year.
15. Manages inventory of therapeutic equipment and assessments, and project needs for budget planning.
16. Adheres to federal and state legislation, regulation, and policies that affect occupational therapy practice
17. Maintains American Heart Association certification in First Aid and CPR.
18. Successfully completes Little City Foundation required training, re-training, and any additional training as required by Little City Foundation policies and practices, or as assigned by his or her immediate supervisor.
