As an Occupational Therapist, you'll assess students and help them develop fine and gross motor skills, posture, and movement. You'll collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to empower students in their learning journey. This role involves consulting with teachers, providing training to parents and staff, and coordinating with community agencies. You’ll travel between school sites to ensure comprehensive support, all while contributing to a culturally diverse, collaborative approach that integrates academic, behavioral, and therapeutic strategies for student success.

Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy initial assessments and reassessments for children with occupational therapy needsDocument evaluations in a thorough and professional mannerProvide in-depth occupational therapy consultation for teachers, providing professional insights for early OT interventions for their studentsProvide occupational therapy services to students in support of their needs and treatment goalsWork collaboratively with other Seneca staff members including, Speech and Language Pathologists, Special Education Teachers, School Psychologists, Clinicians, and Student Support AssistantsAssist in providing in-service training in gross and fine motor skills, sensory motor regulations, as well as posture and movement to parents, teachers, administrators and other professionalsAssist in coordinating, communicating and seeking consultation with community agencies as appropriate QualificationsREQUIRED
