We Are Seeking:

 

We are seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist with a work history in hand therapy who is proficient in splinting and familiar with post-op protocols. Mentoring is available. This role could easily transistion to a full time position! As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in helping patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life. Functions / Duties of Position:

Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment resultsComfortable with walk-in patients to provide custom post-op splintsProvide occupational therapy interventions to improve patients' functional abilitiesMonitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as neededCollaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient careEducate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies

Qualifications:

Graduate from an accredited college with an AOTA curriculumA current state of Oregon license, CPR certificationStrong knowledge of occupational therapy principles and techniquesKnowledge of post -op protocolsProficient in splinting skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsProficient in using relevant technology and software for documentationExcellent patient care and communication skills with the ability to multitask while providing an exceptional experience for anyone that enters the clinic.

 

About us:

Sports Medicine Oregon is a physician owned clinic in Portland, OR. The clinic provides orthopedic surgery and sports medicine for people of all ages and abilities, and the physicians are also the medical team for the Portland Timbers and Thorns soccer clubs. We are a small group in the Physical Therapy Dept and only see patients from our in-house physicians. We are seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist with a work history in hand therapy who is proficient in splinting and familiar with post-op protocols. Mentoring is available.
