Ocean Export Clerk
Description We are currently seeking an Ocean Export Clerk to join our team in Secaucus, New Jersey. The primary function of this role is to provide hub management services for the Americas region offices and vendors, as well as Export Coordination and Import Delivery Management services for all US-bound freight. This role promises a long term contract employment opportunity and requires skills in Customs, Export Shipments, and Export Customer Service. Responsibilities: • Manage hub services for the Americas region offices and vendors, ensuring top-notch service delivery • Oversee export coordination, ensuring all US-bound freight is handled efficiently • Ensure data quality and presence for customers as per service agreements or company guidelines • Deliver Import Management services for all US-bound freight • Manage customer procedures meticulously, ensuring all requirements are met • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions and processes • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary • Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency. Requirements • Candidate must have a strong understanding of Customs procedures and regulations. • Proficiency in managing Export Shipments is essential. • Proven experience in Export Customer Service is required. • The ability to handle documentation related to ocean export is necessary. • Familiarity with international trade regulations and shipping terms is crucial. • The applicant must demonstrate excellent organizational skills to manage multiple shipments. • Strong communication skills to liaise with customers, shipping lines, and overseas agents are needed. • Knowledge of export software systems and tools is important. • Problem-solving skills to address any issues that arise during the export process is vital. • The candidate should be able to work both independently and as part of a team. • A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and procedures is necessary.
