Accountability:
As an OEM Manager you'll be at the forefront of our engagements with Automotive and Industrial Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and Tier suppliers identifying opportunities to solve challenges through value added Lubrizol solutions. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to identify and deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, manufacturing, construction, agriculture, and more. Your work will directly impact our reputation in the industry, our development project portfolios, and our business position in the markets we serve.
Responsibilities:
External focus, establish, build, cultivate, and leverage relationships with targeted original equipment manufacturers (OEMs and Tier suppliers) to identify opportunities which can be solved through value added Lubrizol solutions
Develop and maintain a view of market dynamics (market research) in the industry, including ongoing evaluations of competitive intensity and new business opportunities.
Implement Lubrizol specific segment strategies and develop tactical plans at selected OEMs.
Develop and implement the strategic documents for all identified OEM accounts using inputs from the OEM management team, Lubrizol segment business teams.
Help identify and participate in meetings with technical organizations, institutions and companies that are applicable to and support our business.
Internal focus, Collaborate closely within the organization including commercial, technical, and sales groups.
Contribute to the global OEM team and work closely with other OEM account managers regionally and globally
Identify and develop opportunities for innovative new technologies that expands Lubrizol’s business portfolio at the OEM.
Requirements:
Degree or equivalent in engineering, chemistry or comparable subject and ability to understand the needs of the OEM/Tier community.
Demonstrated success in building positive relationships and stakeholder management across multiple functions and geographic regions.
8+ years’ experience in lubricant and/or OEM/Tier industry dynamics and interactions particularly as it relates to hardware driven lubricant requirement developments.
Self-starter, self-managed, and curious
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong leadership and project management skills
Capable of balancing multiple projects effectively, prioritization.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
Ability to analyze market trends and develop effective strategies to identify new technology requirements.
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
This role requires regular domestic travel to visit customers, attend appropriate conferences, and seminars. Occasional International travel may also occur.
