Off Highway Haul Truck Driver
Description

Position SummaryThis position is responsible for safely and efficiently operating haul trucks loaded with rock within the quarry. The Off-Highway haul truck driver will perform various maintenance duties in the quarry, safely and efficiently operate the haul trucks, perform daily pre-shift inspections, and perform minor maintenance and repairs on the haul truck.Monday-Friday: 7 AM - 5 PMResponsibilitiesOperates a haul truck within the company guidelines and safety standardsParticipates in safety inspections, plant safety program, and follows company and MSHA safety rules and regulationsAides in loader production by breaking down surge piles and maintains product pile as neededPerforms pre-shift safety inspection on equipment and reports needed repairs to the supervisorPerforms preventative maintenance, services mobile equipment, and is responsible for good housekeeping of equipmentOperates other equipment such as pit and yard loaders in a safe manner as neededAides in the training of co-workers as neededPerforms other duties as assigned by supervisorRequirementsMust be safety conscious, dependable, and motivatedWill take an active role in the plant safety initiativesWilling to work overtime and weekends as neededWilling to cross-train in different areas of productionEducation & ExperienceHigh School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this positionExperience in the maintenance and operation of mobile equipment and/or equipment used processing plantsSix (6) months experience as a haul truck driver or other related experience preferredKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAble to work cooperatively with others toward a shared goal, contribute actively to the team efforts, and possess a positive attitude in working with others as a teamPossess effective coordination and communication skillsPossess strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge and skillsAble to handle multiple projects simultaneously and to perform duties with minimal supervisionAble to work varying shifts as needed, outdoors, in varying weather conditionsAble to adhere to MSHA guidelines and plant safety rules and regulationsAble to ensure a safe work environment by prioritizing safety, then quality, followed by productionAbout Martin MariettaMartin Marietta is an American-based company and a leading supplier of building materials - including aggregates, cement, ready mixed concrete and asphalt.Safety FirstAt Martin Marietta, safety is first in everything we do.
