Office 365 License Specialist
Job Description We are seeking a skilled Office 365 License Optimization Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise in Office 365 license assignment and optimization. This role involves reviewing our existing license assignments, optimizing licenses by changing the license SKU, or removing them when not required. Additionally, the candidate will help build a sustainable process for maintaining license optimization in the future. Key Responsibilities Review existing Office 365 license assignments and identify opportunities for optimization. Optimize the licenses by either changing the license SKU or removing unused licenses. Build and implement a process for ongoing license optimization and maintenance. Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure efficient license management and compliance. Provide regular reports and updates on license optimization activities and outcomes. Stay up-to-date with Office 365 licensing changes and best practices. Skills and Requirements Strong knowledge of Office 365 and related Microsoft technologies. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Efficient with PowerShell scripting Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) and its integration with on-premises AD Experience managing and applying Office 365 licensing from the cloud and on-prem AD via Entra ID connect. Strong understanding of Office 365 SKUs and licensing models Proven experience with license assignments of M365 F3, E5, Visio, Project, Teams Room, Teams Premium, Visio, Windows 365, and other relevant licenses. Ability to analyze and interpret data to identify optimization opportunities. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
