This position exists to manage the telephone reception duties, provide daily assistance to the Hearings and Release Warrants division, and provides administrative support to the Corrections Hearings and Release Officers in the Hearings and Release Unit. As, needed this position will assist in the fulfillment of scheduler duties and provide back-up coverage in their absence. **Minimum Qualifications** To be qualified for and considered for this position, ensure that your resume contains descriptions of your work experiences sufficient for comparison against the requirements stated below and indicate the beginning and ending month and year for each job held. + Typing/keyboarding skills sufficient to perform skilled typing tasks with speed and accuracy. + Data entry performance sufficient to query and update databases, systems, and documents (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Access, iShare, and On-Base); and to perform back-up data entry and collection work using corrections-specific databases such as the Correctional Operations Management System (COMS), Court Services Tracking System (CSTS), National Crime Information Center (NCIC), Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS), Statewide Supervision System, and Offender Document System (ODocS). + Word processing skills (preferably Microsoft Word) sufficient to prepare documents, memos and letters that are grammatically correct, in proper format, and free of spelling errors. + Skills in using spreadsheet software (preferably Microsoft Excel) sufficient to enter information into spreadsheets. + English language skills (written, oral, and ability to read) sufficient to answer phones, read correspondence, and write memos using appropriate professional language. + Customer service skills sufficient to answer the phone, refer callers, and greet visitors with courtesy and respect. **Preferred Qualifications** The following qualifications are strongly desired of applicants seeking consideration for this position: + Completion of an Associate degree or higher in Corrections, Criminal Justice, Sociology or related field. + Experience working with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Access, On-Base, and/or iShare. + Experience in digital video and audio uploads, and multimedia programming conversation + Experience working in a correctional facility or correctional environment. **Physical Requirements** The selected finalist is required to review and sign a Physical Demands Analysis (PDA) for this position.
