Job Summary:
Core responsibilities of this position include: The Office Assistant, Institutional Research (IR), provides administrative support to IR staff. Core responsibilities of this position include:
• Designing spreadsheets
• Producing summary tables and graphs
• Entering survey data
• Preparing mailings
• Performing office tasks such as filing and errands
Other tasks may be assigned based on contemporary institutional need.
Start Date: As soon as practical after the hiring process.
Compensation: $15.03 per hour. Commensurate with experience.

To successfully perform the essential functions of this position, an employee must be able to maintain appropriate composure and necessary confidentiality with regard to both past and current employee, student, and donor data; documents; issues; etc., and respect privacy needs of employees, students, donors While performing the essential duties of this position, an employee would frequently be required to move around the assigned work space as well as within hallways, meeting rooms, and other parts of the campus facilities.There may be multiple/daily instances of prolonged personal computer use which would include keyboard and/or mouse usage as well as viewing a computer monitor.Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
The overall work environment requires the mental ability to shift focal point quickly due to interruptions; an employee must be able to mentally track multiple projects and tasking as well.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; however, there may be unexpected instances of somewhat loud sounds.
Qualifications
Minimum:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalentCurrent LCCC student and continued enrollment in a minimum of 6 credits a semester, (exceptions may be given for summer term with supervisor approval)Federal Work Study eligible. Students may speak with the LCCC Student Hub and Financial Aid to determine if they are Federal Work Study eligiblePreferred:
One year of experience in an office setting working with Microsoft Office Software. (Excel, Word, Etc.)If you are selected for the position, your appointment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check.
