No County New York Street Address 501 7th Avenue City New York State NY Zip Code 10018 Duties Description The Office Assistant 1 Keyboarding will complete variety of clerical projects, organizational and record keeping tasks for New York City Regional Office (NYCRO), including, but not limited to:• Maintain files and databases for NYCRO staff which includes recertification reviews, site visits program budgets, provider information and all other correspondence for providers • Log and distribute mail to NYC RO staff• Provide telephone coverage during hours of operation including lunch coverage• Assist with performing clerical tasks for major projects• Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Permanent Qualifications:Current New York State employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent competitive service as an Office Assistant 1 Keyboarding, G-6, or a New York State employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent competitive service in a position allocated to salary grade 4 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.Candidates not already in a typing title must pass a keyboarding test that demonstrates the ability to enter text at a rate of at least 30 words per minute with at least 96% accuracy by completion of probation. ~OR~NY HELPS Qualifications:There are no minimum education or experience requirements for this title. Additional Comments This position includes a downstate adjustment of $3,400.The salary range listed for this posting reflects the full range for this graded position, factoring in annual performance advances based on satisfactory annual performance reviews. Candidates with no previous State service will begin at the hiring rate (starting rate of the salary range) listed above, plus any applicable Location Pay/Geographic Pay/Shift Pay differentials.
