Job Description

Location:  Mundelein, IL

Reports to:  EHS Manager

Job Overview:  The primary purpose of this role is to support the site leadership team as well as the overall plant with a wide variety of administrative tasks and projects specifically in the areas of Safety, Quality, and Human Resources.

Job Dimensions:

Part of AF Mundelein TeamHourly non-exempt, no direct reports.Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 hour shift.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

Provides high level administrative and operational support; researches, prioritizes, and follows up on incoming issues including those of a sensitive or confidential natureServe as the point of contact for the plant or site among executives, employees, clients and other external partners, while exercising good judgement and discretion in a wide variety of situationsProvide callers with information such as company address, directions to company, fax numbers, company website and other related informationGreets and directs visitors to the company; manages reception area to maintain a professional imageEnsures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories and evaluating new equipment and techniques.Organizes on-site meetings; including meeting planning, catering; and coordinating IT and AV supportCoordinates the pick-up and delivery of all mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.)Assist in the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office suppliesAssists with complex and detailed travel arrangements which can include domestic and international airfare, hotel and ground transportation.Promotes Amcor health, wellness and safety initiatives.Performs general administration duties including event/activities communications, various postings, maintaining files, internal/external phone coverage, assembling new hire packets, security badge along with external contract administration, maintaining and ordering office/beverage supplies for the plant, generating weekly, monthly or quarterly reports, i.e, rosters, phone log, attendance reports, staffing reports, payroll reports, restriction reporting. etc.Generates and provides management with data collection and miscellaneous reporting as requested.Other administrative duties assigned, i.e. mail distribution, processing invoices, maintaining PPE for visitors, etc.

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU

HS Diploma or equivalent2 years experience in an administrative roleExhibits polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.Outstanding organizational and time management skillsAbility to maintain a professional appearance and demeanorComputer literacy; Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.Working knowledge of mail processes such as postage machine, FedEx, UPSExcellent verbal and written communications skillsDiscretion and confidentialityAbility to sit up to 80% of timeAbility to communicate up to 80% of timeAbility to move from one place to another up to 10% of timeAbility to work on a computer 85% of timeAbility to lift up to 30lbs on occasion.Office / Plant environment

Physical Demands

Physically able to lift up to 40 lbs.Standing up to 8 hours per day on a rotating evening shift, up to 5 days per week.Occasional twisting, turning, or bending to move items up to 40 lbs.Frequent kneeling, reaching, bending, stooping, standing, and walking.Alert state of mind to avoid safety hazards.Able to read/see up to 1/16 of an inch.Required to verbally communicate, hear, smell, stand, sit, walk, climb stairs and ladders, balance, bend and stoop.Vision requirements of the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus to perform all functions safely.

Work Environment

This position requires the use of eye protection, hair net, and hearing protection in designated areas. When handling a sharp object or tool a cut glove must be worn per safety requirements. Other required PPE is task specific.  GMP procedures are observed in all areas of the plant.
