**Job Summary**
Sunnyside Apartments (Family and Graduate Housing department) is looking for a part time Office Assistant to join our leasing office team. This job might be for you if you enjoy helping others, learning new things, and communicate clearly with people over the phone, in person, and via email.
**Responsibilities**
1. Opens the office in a timely manner each morning at 8:00 AM.
2. Greets visitors to the Sunnyside Office front desk. Provides excellent customer service to individuals with varying traditions, cultures, orientation and racial and ethnic origins.
3. Verifies incoming applications; contacts applicants for missing information.
4. Answers questions in person, over the phone, via email and chat program about a variety of topics. Assists both current and prospective residents.
5. Conducts move in orientations for new residents.
6. Processes various office forms with accompanying data entry.
7. Processes resident records in apartment management system (Yardi).
8. Coordinate and communicate with various building stake holders including our maintenance department.
9. Active member of the leasing team that helps residents feel at home and comfortable on campus.
10. Other general office support as needed.

**Minimum Qualifications**
High school diploma or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. One year full-time customer service experience or equivalency, demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required.
