Office Assistant
Description We are seeking a reliable and professional Receptionist and Office Assistant to support a financial firm in La Crosse, WI, for a 4-week assignment. This full-time role is a great opportunity to gain experience in a professional office environment while assisting with varied administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills and a proactive mindset to keep operations running smoothly. Responsibilities: + Front Desk Support: + Greet and assist clients, visitors, and employees in a friendly, professional manner. + Answer and direct phone calls promptly, taking messages or transferring calls as necessary. + Monitor and organize the reception area to maintain a clean and welcoming environment. + Administrative Assistance: + Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries, including sorting and distributing correspondence. + Perform basic data entry and assist with maintaining office records and filing systems. + Assist with preparing reports, spreadsheets, and other documents as needed. + Office Operations: + Order and organize office supplies; ensure common areas (e.g., breakroom) are stocked and tidy. + Schedule meetings, handle conference room setups, and support with calendar management as requested. + Provide ad-hoc support to team members and leadership as projects arise. Requirements Qualifications: + Skills & Experience: + Prior experience as a receptionist, office assistant, or in similar administrative roles is preferred. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic data entry. + Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail. + Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a dynamic environment. + Soft Skills: + Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. + Professional demeanor and a friendly, customer-first attitude. + Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain confidentiality as required in a professional setting.
