Office Assistant Cardiac Rehab

Description:Performs clerical duties as assigned such as answering the telephone, billing, coding, data compilation and word processing, ordering, scheduling appointments and reception.

Greets clients and visitors and directs appropriately.

Receives incoming calls, responding to inquiries or routing to appropriate person. Is responsible to schedule client appointments, patient appointments and schedules health screening appointments, and other appointments as needed.

Obtains and routes chart material as needed for day to day operations

Complete daily tasks with the use of selected office equipment, including but not limited to computer terminals, PCs, printers, calculators, telephones, fax machines, modems, and copy machines.

Plan, organize, and accomplish tasks according to priority to effectively meet department needs.

Performs pre-authorizations for perspective patients, verifies financial responsibility.

Performs outpatient client registration

Orders supplies

Performs charge reconciliations daily

Provides clerical support for Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Manager and as assigned.

Demonstrates effective communication skills

Promotes a positive atmosphere within the work unit and displays adaptability to change.

Initiates emergency procedures (including code blue) according to policy.

Other duties as assigned.
