**Responsibilities:**
+ Verify patient information in the medical record and scheduling system, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date prior to appointments.
+ Prepare patient charts for upcoming visits, ensuring necessary forms and documents are available for physicians.
+ Complete encounter forms, referrals, and other paperwork required for patient visits, while generating billing information using the computer system.
+ Maintain a clean and organized waiting area, including the beverage station and reading materials, to ensure a comfortable environment for patients.
+ Greet and register patients in a courteous, prompt, and helpful manner, providing clear instructions and directing them to appropriate departments.
+ Assist with inpatient billing processes and address any issues related to transcription or dictation accuracy for physicians.
+ Process medical records release requests and assist with ordering and managing office supplies based on stock levels.
+ Schedule, coordinate, and reschedule patient appointments while confirming physician availability and insurance verifications for diagnostic testing, referrals, and authorizations.
Required:
+ High school diploma or GED
+ Three years of work experience, preferably in a medical office setting
+ Word processing and computer experience
Preferred:
+ Knowledge of medical terminology
