Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Office Assistant - **Women's Health/Garden City**.
In this role, the successful candidate The Welcome Center Representative will be responsible for facilitating classes on health and wellness supporting department projects assisting with financial and tax documentation and managing essential administrative tasks This full time position is ideal for a candidate with strong organizational skills an interest in health education and a keen eye for detail This role requires someone proactive with a talent for project management and the ability to work independently
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee front desk operations including handling inquiries and directing them to the appropriate resources or personnel Assist with the coordination and planning of classes and workshops including scheduling registration and participant communication Facilitate and organize health and wellness task including fall prevention programs to educate and support the community Manage and support project management tasks including coordinating schedules tracking progress and ensuring deadlines are met Collaborate with instructors and staff to ensure smooth execution of classes and workshops Provide administrative support for special events and programs including preparation setup and follow up Monitor inventory of supplies and materials and place orders as needed Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by visitors or members in a professional and courteous manner Support the preparation of taz related documentation includeing working on the departments 990 tax form in collaboration with the finance staff Support the marketing and promotion of classes workshops and events to ensure robust participation Attend health fairs walks and other community events to represent the organization and promote its services Ensure compliance with all hospital policies regulations and standards
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High school diploma or equivalent required 1 year previous experience in a health education customer service or administrative role with a focus on project management Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Word Excel Outlook and comfortable learning new software applications Demonstrated ability to manage projects including planning execution and follow up Friendly approachable and professional demeanor with a strong commitment to customer service Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional education or certifications in health education customer service project management or related fields is a plus
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $51,206.48 - $51,206.48 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
