Summary of Position
Supporting full/part-time instructors with typing of exams and copying classroom materials and assisting students with degree plans and selection of classes. Provide information to students about all of the departmental programs: capable of making discretionary and tactful decisions and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision. Assisting Department Chair with all administrative duties.
Minimum Required Education
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum Required Experience
Six years wage earning clerical experience or certification / successful completion of relevant trade school(30 credit hours) and two years wage earning clerical experience or Associates Degree and one year wage earning clerical experience is required.
A copy of certificates and/or college transcripts is required with application for evaluation purposes.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Proficiency with current Microsoft Office software package, to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
+ Demonstrated proficiency in operating and troubleshooting various office machines to include personal computer.
+ Demonstrated proficiency in CTC’s Blackboard system.
+ Communicates effectively orally and in writing with students, staff, faculty and administration.
+ Knowledgeable on Institution’s FERPA policies and procedures.
+ Ability to multitask, setting priorities to meet departmental requirements.
+ Must be neat in appearance and provide a positive professional attitude to customers and students.
