Office Manager

The Office Manager organizes and coordinates office administration and procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness and productivity. The Office Manager is responsible for developing intra-office communication protocols, streamlining administrative procedures, and inventory control. Manages overall administration of on-campus theatre productions. This position’s peak season is the beginning of each semester (fall and spring), and all of August as this is the beginning of the new academic year. June is also busy as this is incoming freshmen orientation. Finally, budget planning and the opening of a show are always peak seasons.

Essential functions:

Coordinates, oversees, and performs a wide variety of administrative and program support activities for the Department of Theatre and Dance, including administrative support for Chair of Department, Theatre/Dance office, and faculty.Serve as assistant budget manager to the Chair.Schedule and coordinate events and rehearsals in the Troutt Theater, Black Box Theater, and Belmont Little Theater year-round, and enter all events/rehearsals in Troutt Complex into EMS and maintain updates.Provide a regular daily office presence to answer office phones and greet and assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors.Recruit, hire, train, and supervise student workers for office administrative support and building monitor positions.Coordinate and provide recruiting and admissions support for theatre/dance. Coordinate daily/monthly prospective student visits with Admissions.
