Summary You will serve as a Office Manager/Senior Office Manager in the RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT GROUP/SPECTRUM WARFARE DEPT JOINT ENGRG DEV INITIATIVE DIV of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE. Responsibilities You will provide a full range of administrative support duties including planning, coordination, and prioritization of tasks. You will screen all incoming telephone calls for proper channeling. You will prepare, review, and edit standard correspondence, reports, and other documents to ensure proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, format, and presentation of information. You will make small purchases using abbreviated procedures. You will assist with new hire coordination efforts, and creates all new hire related paperwork requirements (i.e., badging, SAAR). You will assist employees with travel arrangements , processing travel documents though DTS; including travel approval and mission essential forms, itineraries, authorizations, and travel vouchers. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To Qualify for the DG-03 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band (DG-02) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following duties: 1) Assisting in editing standard correspondence, reports, and other technical documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation, format, and effective presentation of information; 2) Assisting in creating travel orders and vouchers for employees attending off-site meetings, conferences and trainings; 3) Operating copiers, scanners, computers, and administrative/office software programs; 4) Answering telephone calls and refers them to the appropriate staff members. To Qualify for the DG-04 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level or pay band (DG-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Drafting memorandums in accordance with established manuals; 2) Preparing and processing travel documents, including travel orders, vouchers, and itineraries utilizing travel management system; 3) Performing a full range of office management procedures to support the planning, coordinating and/or prioritizing of tasks; 4) Maintaining calendars, scheduling appointments, and arranging meetings or conferences; 5) Editing standard correspondence, reports, and other technical documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation, format, and effective presentation of information.
