SUMMARY

Assist the Hanford Office of Communications (HOC) staff in preparing communications materials on the three priority mission themes identified by the Hanford Field Office (HFO) Manager: tank waste operations and treatment for safe disposal; risk-reduction; and infrastructure operations.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop comprehensive communication strategies on technical subjects, to inform and educate internal and external stakeholders, media, and the general public. Prepare media engagement materials, usually on short deadline and sometimes requiring research and understanding of technical material. Develop, coordinate, review, and approve communication products, including but not limited to press releases, responses to media inquiries, agency newsletter articles, social media posts, presentations, announcements, fact sheets, and fliers on the Hanford Site cleanup mission. Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Perform other duties as assigned.
