Data Connects Us. **About the Role:** The Office of the CISO (OCISO) is part of Confluent’s Trust and Security organization and its mission is to earn and retain trust by championing Confluent’s security, privacy, resilience, and compliance positions, thereby accelerating customer adoption and use of our platform and products. The OCISO Enablement Manager is a strategic role focused on driving global trust enablement initiatives to enhance security, privacy, resilience, and compliance across the customer lifecycle. This role involves designing and scaling programs that empower regional teams to meet customer and regulatory expectations while fostering trust and supporting growth. Key responsibilities include streamlining customer risk assessments, contract reviews, and regulatory audits, developing scalable communication frameworks, and ensuring operational excellence. The role requires strong strategic thinking, exceptional communication skills, and effective cross-functional collaboration to deliver measurable outcomes that build trust and strengthen long-term customer relationships. This is a remote-based position. **What You Will Do:** + Collaborate with Confluent's GTM teams to lead and scale global and regional Field and Customer trust and assurance enablement initiatives + Serve as a subject matter expert on customer security assurance and regulatory requirements, providing strategic insights on emerging regulations affecting cloud adoption + Partner with Product, Engineering, and Legal to execute the trust and compliance roadmap, while building scalable capabilities such as standard contract terms, customer audits, and QBRs to meet third-party risk management needs + Establish feedback processes to continuously improve OCISO operations and capabilities + Foster cross-functional relationships with teams like Sales, CSG, Product, and Legal to drive trust-building programs and initiatives + Manage a small team of Enablement and Trust experts and enable them with direction, coaching and mentoring **What You Will Bring:** + Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience in Information Security and Compliance + Prior people management experience + Expertise in cloud/SaaS environments, either as a provider or customer with complex security and compliance needs + Proven experience in building scalable Trust enablement capabilities from the ground up in greenfield settings + Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and communication with diverse internal and external stakeholders + Knowledge of key frameworks and regulations, including GDPR, FedRAMP, CSA, NIST, FFIEC, DORA, FDIC, and other regional/industry standards **What Gives You an Edge:** + Current Security CISSP, CISA, CISM, or equivalent certification completed or currently in progress + Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and planning skills + Prior experience reviewing and negotiating security clauses within customer contracts a plus + Able to independently lead and manage internal process and operational improvement programs + Interpersonal skills to work as a team member and as a liaison **Come As You Are** At Confluent, equality is a core tenet of our culture. This position has an annual estimated salary of 223,700 - 262,890 USD, and a competitive equity package.
