Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University, Office of the Registrar is seeking an Applications Analyst - Boca Raton, FL.

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Applications Analyst position for the Office of the Registrar is primarily responsible for all essential IT functions of the Registrar’s Office.

The Applications Analyst will develop reports for the registrar’s office, colleges, and auxiliary departments that are utilized to make critical decisions regarding enrollment management, fiscal budgets, and course schedules for key departments throughout the university community. This position also requires data analysis of student enrollment data to observe trends or patterns that are used in the decision-making process for registration times and dates. 

This position will also provide data extract files and ad hoc reports in response to internal data requests (graduation data, degree-seeking/non-degree student data, enrollment statistics, internship/coop statistics, career survey statistics, etc.) and external inquiries (textbook data, campus police department data, student directory data requests, commencement vendor data requests, public records requests, etc.).

Extract and merge data from various sources and possess sound knowledge of industry-standard reporting tools, and multi-database platform experience

This position is also responsible for the maintenance of the Registrar’s Office website and online interactive forms. Knowledge of Frevvo form developer is a plus but not required for this position.

The Applications Analyst position prepares the files that are submitted to the BOG such as (Hours to Degree “HTD”) and requires meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

This position reports directly to the Associate Registrar of Information Technology and is expected to contribute ideas and interact with various departments and college representatives.

Develop and maintain web-based forms for the office of the registrar.

Develops reports based on data requested by all colleges and departments throughout the university.

This position pursues the automation of repetitive tasks in the effort of improving the efficiency and productivity of the registrar’s office and key counterparts.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience required.


Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

Proficiency in developing and maintaining queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from relational databases using Structured Query Language (SQL).

Proficiency in HTML for maintaining and optimizing web content and user interfaces.

Knowledge of Ellucian’s Banner Student Information System.

Experience with XML-based APIs.

Familiarity with Reporting tools such as Crystal Reports and Power BI.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Experience working with data that requires attention to detail.

Salary:

$60,000 per year.
