The Office Receptionist / Workplace Administrator is responsible for managing the front desk operations and ensuring a well-organized, efficient, and welcoming workplace for our San Carlos office. This role combines traditional receptionist duties with workplace coordination tasks, requiring excellent organizational skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Responsibilities Greet and welcome visitors, clients, and employees with a professional and friendly demeanor.Manage the visitor sign-in process, issue visitor badges, and ensure compliance with security protocols.Assist with scheduling and coordinating meetings, including booking conference rooms and arranging catering services.Keep the front desk area and guest lounge clean and organizedSupport various other departments (health, facilities, HR) requests onsiteMaintain office supplies inventory and place orders as needed.Coordinate security access cards for employees and vendorsAssist in organizing company events, meetings, and employee engagement activities.Coordinate with facilities management to ensure the office environment is well-maintained and functional.Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and efficiently.Assisting with other administrative tasks as required Required 3-5 years of experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably in a corporate environment.Proficient in Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Forms) and MS Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.)Professional appearance and demeanor.Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs.Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and multitasking abilities.Proactive, resourceful, and have strong attention to detailHigh school graduate or equivalent Desired Associate’s Degree or equivalent years of experience in Business Savvy in basic ITCompensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $32-$36/hr. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
