These tasks call for hands-on alarm programming and system software troubleshooting. -Receive emergency and non-emergency calls for security service and medical assistance. -Dispatch security officers and facilities personnel using two way radio or telephone. -Prioritize calls and initiate appropriate action, based on incident and importance. -Query callers to obtain detailed incident information, record all officer duties and activities via detailed activity reporting system, Act-Track and maintain a detailed TMA work order system for facilities personnel. -Notify appropriate managers or supervisors of critical alarm conditions on a 24-hour basis. **This vacancy is not eligible for sponsorship/ we will not sponsor or transfer visas for this position. Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.** **Qualifications** -A high school diploma or GED equivalent. -Two years of security and/or facilities communication center experience required. -College degree will substitute for experience. -Experience with Windows 95 or NT a must. -Should have working knowledge of CCTV, Security and Facilities systems and the ability to manage alarm dispatching and the facilitation of equipment work orders. -Must be a problem solver and maintain the ability to make sound decisions without direct supervision during stressful situations. The proper candidate will be detail oriented, mission driven and be able to continuously multi-task. Proper self-motivational as well as organizational skills are a must. -Effective human relation skills are required for interacting with all levels of Mayo staff, physicians and customers. -Demonstrates behaviors consistent with those identified as Mayo Core Principles.
