THE JOB:
Emergency Response Team Officers (ERTOs) provide overt and covert armed response, acting as a visible deterrent and swiftly responding to security breaches, emergencies, and safety threats. Their role involves intervening in potential violence, mitigating incidents through early detection, and adhering to departmental policies and procedures. Specialized training and physical fitness are essential requirements for this position.


THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Patrolling and Vigilance: Routinely patrol designated areas to identify potential risks or emergencies, maintaining a vigilant watch over surroundings.Prompt Emergency Response: Swiftly react to emergency calls or incidents, evaluate the situation, and take decisive measures to ensure safety and offer aid.Collaborative Response Coordination: Work closely with fire departments, law enforcement, and medical personnel to coordinate response strategies and exchange vital information during emergencies.Continuous Training and Development: Participate consistently in training sessions to refine skills, keeping abreast of the latest emergency response protocols and procedures.Thorough Documentation and Reporting: Maintain meticulous records by documenting incident specifics, actions taken, and outcomes, ensuring adherence to organizational guidelines and regulatory standards.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

High School Diploma or equivalent.Graduate from an accredited law enforcement academy or US Military Police Academy4+ years of experience as a law enforcement officer or equivalent military experienceExperience in Use of Force decision making in armed, public facing capacity.Flexible schedule to include varied shifts, weekends, and holidays.HR218 qualification or ability to obtain CCW certification.Physical fitness and agilityExcellent critical thinking skillsStrong leadership capabilitiesEnjoys working with a team.Clear and effective communication skillsExcellent problem solver who demonstrates composure under pressureTravel to Las Vegas for ERT Officer Academy for 3 weeks Jan 15th 2025 - Feb 1st 2025 *Must be able to attend the entirety of the academy. Hotel and travel arrangements provided*

The typical pay range for this role is:

Minimum - Maximum

$22.28 - $36.28

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements.
