Responsibilities

Promotes a positive attitude and proper customer relations by extending courteous service to all patrons and employees.  Ensures that proper security is provided for all transfers of monies within the casino and hotel areas of the complex.  Responds to incidents, accidents and calls for assistance.  Must provide emergency medical care to the highest degree necessary within allowable limits for the certification held.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures.Patrols the hotel and casino areas to establish a security presence and reports all unusual situations and/or suspicious persons.Provides emergency medical care within limits of certification.Completes thorough documentation of all medical calls. Completes all required checklists for inventory and inspections of supplies and equipment.  Notifies a Supervisor of any problems with equipment and/or supplies and makes note of supplies that require replenishing.  Replaces supplies as necessary and reports missing supplies to a Supervisor.Disinfects and maintains cleanliness of EMS equipment, supplies and treatment rooms as per the requirements of daily assignments. Assists in the coordination of emergency situations.Assists in the coordination of emergency situations.Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by  discretely notifying appropriate management of concerns and observationsDemonstrate actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion and Dedication Qualifications Ability to deliver a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable entertainment experience.Commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities in an effort to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals.Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance.High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of one (1) year of appropriate emergency medical service experience is preferred, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.Must be able to communicate with guests and other employees in a positive manner.Must be able to effectively direct vehicular traffic in parking lots/garage and entrances/exits.Ability to read and understand all company policies and procedures.Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English.Must be able to complete standard company forms and reports.Must be able to read technical manuals.Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities.Must be able to apply sound judgement in standard situations and non-standard situations with limited varibles involved.Proficient computer skills.Must apply for, obtain and remain eligible for the appropriate Seminole Tribal Gaming License.Valid Motor Vehicle License with good driving record.Must obtain Medical Response Technician certification through the Seminole Tribe of Florida.Must be CPR and AED certified or obtain certification through the Seminole Tribe of Florida.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an incumbent to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.Must be able to wear a radio earphone without any medical limitations.Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time, able to climb steps, respond to emergency situations and handle basic duties and responsibilities of the position.Is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. Frequently required to stand, walk and sit.Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, lift and/or move up to 225 pounds.May be exposed to body fluids and unsafe conditions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

 May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke, excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.

The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans. First preference in hiring, training, promoting and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements. Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.
