Job Description

Veolia Water Technologies Dayton is currently seeking an Offshore Water Filtration Specialist. This position will support and develop technical support services to maintain Veolia’s position at the forefront of this sector. The position will be responsible for providing operational and technical support for offshore membrane package plants, typically SWRO and SRP.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Troubleshooting filtration system operational problems

System data trending and analysis.

Supervisory / Advisory role concerning the efficient running of the client’s operating unit. This will include the evaluation of client operating procedures, supervising and training their site personnel and making recommendations for improvements.

Undertaking other duties that the Company may require from time to time when not on leave and not required offshore.

Qualifications

Summary of Professional Capabilities/Competencies:

In-depth knowledge of membrane technology and its applications, coupled with hands-on experience in commissioning and operational processes.

Proven ability to troubleshoot operational problems in water filtration settings, employing analytical skills and a systematic approach to problem-solving.

Familiarity with various water filtration and systems, enabling quick identification and resolution of issues.

Proficiency in system data trending and analysis to identify patterns, optimize performance, and predict potential issues.

Utilization of data analytics tools and methods to enhance plant efficiency and reliability.

Strong leadership skills for effectively supervising and advising on the efficient operation of client plants.

Capable of evaluating client operating procedures, providing strategic guidance, and implementing improvements for enhanced system performance.

Ability to mentor and support the development of recently trained local service engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Flexibility to undertake various duties as required by the company, showcasing adaptability to different roles and responsibilities.

Efficient multitasking to handle diverse tasks, ensuring smooth operations even when not offshore.

Essential Professional Qualities

Knowledge of membrane systems for the production of potable water or treatment of contaminated water

IT literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft/Google packages
