Responsibilities The OHE Foreman is responsible for leading the crew to complete daily tasks and meet customer needs, ensuring crew safety, keeping track of employee hours, completing daily & weekly safety briefings/inspections, and calls in project utility locations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Obtain all of the necessary licenses, permits, and materials for the job. Oversee, accomplish, and ensure all work quality related to each project and assume full responsibility for its standard and timeliness. Inspect work to ensure job quality and communicate with customers. Coordinate and delegate daily tasks to crew members related to digging and placing product. Gain entry to site buildings for work crew and call in utilities located at each project site. Facilitate daily toolbox talks and weekly safety inspections to ensure the crews work safely. Complete all paperwork in a timely manner. Connect wires and cables to terminals and attach/detach various kinds of hardware to wires, cables, buildings, or poles. Perform aerial tasks, such as pole transfers, strand building, and lashing. Perform construction work, such as digging holes, air pipe, and inner duct work in various types of conduit systems and open excavations. Train new hires and trainees to learn the trade. Tracks employee hours, turning them in on time. Drive, haul, and/or operate equipment to/from job sites to assist crews in completion of work. Keep the job(s) moving on time, clean up, and perform job restoration at the end of job. Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
