What You'll Do as an Occupational Health & Safety Technician:

Accident Reporting & Investigation: Report and investigate workplace accidents, gather evidence, and implement corrective actions.Audits & Observations: Conduct safety audits, inspections, and identify hazards and non-compliance.Daily Walks & Audits: Perform daily safety walks, assess conditions, inspect equipment, and address concerns.Job Analysis (Ergonomics & Safety): Evaluate tasks for ergonomic risks and recommend safety improvements.Routine Inspections: Inspect fire protection, emergency equipment, and ensure regulatory compliance.Waste Disposal & Spill Clean-up: Implement procedures for hazardous material handling and respond to spills.Additional Duties: Develop safety training, maintain emergency plans, investigate incidents, and track safety performance.

Work Experience

The Preferred Candidate Might Have:

Associate degree or relevant experience1-3 years in environmental, health, and safety administrationFamiliarity with OSHA, EPA, ANSI, NFPA, NEC, and building codesAbility to train groups and collaborate with all levels of managementStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to meet physical requirements and handle emergenciesFirst aid/CPR certification is a plusAbility to see, hear, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, and lift/pull/push up to 50 lbs.
