Kleinfelder is looking for a dynamic leader to join our Oil & Gas Midstream Team in Denver CO, Houston TX or Concord CA. The Oil & Gas Midstream Engineering Manager will lead our engineering practice that supports our Oil & Gas Midstream client programs. The ideal candidate will apply their extensive knowledge and skills in various natural gas and liquids pipeline infrastructure projects and independently evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to lead project execution. Projects range in size and complexity from small to large, including both natural gas transmission; liquids pipelines; terminals, stations, and facility Infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities include:
Team and engineering practice leadership Prepare pipeline and facility designs, including the review of designs and documentation to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards and design criteria and mitigate client riskConstruction specification and bid package preparation Alternative/Feasibility studies and route studiesDevelop status reports with task completion, progress, challenges, risks, and recommended solutions Oversee pursuits, designate the appropriate resources to projects, define client needs, address client concerns and manage engineering resources within budgetLead and participate in technical, cost, and scheduling decisions for interdisciplinary teams ensuring company quality standards and driving customer valueNurture and grow client relationships and contracts that include complex, multi-disciplinary projectsLeading, growing and mentoring staff – supporting the achievement of professional career goalsDevise new approaches to problems encounteredManage all phases of project execution including project organization, subcontractor management, scheduling, financial management, health and safety stewardship, and reportingCollaborate on a program of design and construction management projects striving for continuous improvement in process development and executionDevelop technical training and best practice tools for project execution and standardization by practitionersBuild relationships on technical and client service teams and within client organizationsCommunicate effectively with internal and external teams of clients and stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Process EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) in multiple states10+ years of direct pipeline and energy infrastructure design experienceExperienced in project planning activities with a background in utilizing standard tools and information to make tactical course corrections regarding budgeting, scheduling, and scope changesAbility to assess and resolve issues and conflicts internally and externallyExperienced leading a team of technical practitioners and providing, coaching, mentoring, career and practice developmentValid Driver’s license

Benefits: Kleinfelder offers an excellent compensation and benefits package, including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid holidays. The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California & Colorado Equal Pay Acts. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary range: $104,042 - 182,320.
