The oil & gas industry is facing unprecedented challenges through volatile energy prices, changes to the geopolitical landscape, supply and demand fluctuations, and pressure to significantly improve the sustainability of their operations. This creates an opportunity for the sector to pivot to a long-term strategy that helps address these challenges through an increased adoption of digital tools and capabilities, increased discipline over operational costs while maintaining revenues and margins, and increasingly transforming their business models for decades to come. **The opportunity**
Recognizing the need of our clients, we have formulated a sector strategy focused on the three significant dimensions: Digital Operations; Next Generation Back Office; and Sustainability Solutions. Each of these areas involves significant operational transformation by engaging teams in the innovative application of technology in our clients’ businesses. In your role as a Sector Technology Solution Lead, you will work with EY’s broad technology consulting capability teams to support integrating technology innovation into our transformative solution delivery to drive significant value for our clients. This is a high-profile position that will work with Energy industry technology leaders and client serving teams across many EY practices.
**Your key responsibilities**
**Client Delivery**
As Energy companies explore opportunities to optimize their operational efficiency, you will help our clients understand areas to achieve operational excellence by examining their processes and tools including HSSE, accounting, reliability, commercial, logistics and engineering and examining operational KPI’s that drive costs and revenue. You will help our clients by crafting a strategy in line with their long-term goals or by implementing innovative and data driven digital solutions to drive speed to value. You will lead cross-competency teams within EY to bring the greatest value for our clients. You will craft and manage commercially viable engagements for EY.
**Business Development**
The purpose of this role is to help position EY for growth within the Oil and Gas sector in this rapidly changing market. You will help to integrated technology capability into our pursuits to differentiate our service offerings; help author thought leadership material; help develop our ‘Go to Market’ strategy, develop sales collateral and solution materials to position EY in the market. You will learn about the various competencies and capabilities within EY. You will play an active role in the sales to delivery lifecycle of engagements.
**To qualify for the role you must have**
+ Bachelors and/or master’s in Engineering/ Business/Technology
+ 10 – 15 years of experience as a consultant and / or a Leader in the IT field or comparable industry experience
+ Deep understanding of technology management frameworks and operating models.
+ Understanding of leading Governance and IT Service Management models (e.g., ITIL)
+ Demonstrated ability to liaise between business, technology, and vendor teams.
+ Minimum of 5-8 years of experience working within the –oil and gas sector, including:
+ Helping identify opportunities to improve KPIs/ operational performance through process analysis
+ Helping define value/ business case against identified opportunities
+ Helping implement innovative digital solutions to realize identified opportunities
+ A strong understanding of market fundamentals shaping market landscape today and through the energy transition
**Ideally, you’ll also have**
+ Bachelor’s Degree or above in mathematics, information systems, statistics, computer science, or related disciplines
+ Experience within a consulting firm

**What we offer**
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $169,900 to $388,200. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $203,900 to $441,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
