Engineering at Pratt & Whitney (P&W) is looking for a self-motivated and disciplined individual to join its team as a OKC ELMT Director supporting the Military Engines Engineering (MEE) team. MEE is a 40+ organization whose Program Chief Engineers provide leadership and support for all of the Military engines programs, including Fighter, Mobility, F135, Military Development Programs, APU’s as well as the Engine Life Management Team. The vision for the Engine Life Management Team (ELMT) is a World-class support of Military Programs at the depot based on a highly integrated, highly effective team that ensures product integrity while supporting depot production targets. The core location for the ELMT is located in Oklahoma City at Tinker Air Force Base, and it supports multiple military depots worldwide. The ELMT is responsible for the F100, TF33, F119, F135 and F117 engines. The ELMT Director provides leadership to the cross functional team comprised of Module Center Engineering, Aftermarket and Sustainment Engineering, Military Customer Support and Services, and Engine Design and Systems Organization. This is an approximately 200 person team that is expanding in the near future. What You Will Do: The ELMT Director is responsible for the overall organization that optimizes engineering resource distribution, roles and responsibilities and evolves as the aftermarket business changes to improve engineering support of aftermarket operation and the customer. As the military sustainment business grows, and P&W’s role in support of the fielded product expands, it is expected that the ELMT will need to evolve under the ELMT Directors leadership. The ELMT Director is also the primary contact for USAF and JPO sustainment leadership on site at Tinker AFB. Additionally, this is a key leadership role in the governance of the P&W Oklahoma City site. + Sets operational strategies and plans with direct impact on business results + Makes decisions within context of short and long-term strategic goals and objectives (e.g., more than 3 years) + Communicates with top Leadership at USAF, JPO and P&W + Drives integration of cross functional engineering support + Guides alignment between ELMT and Sustainment Operations, Quality, and each Program Management Office to effectively support depot sustainment + Problem solving at an exceptional level of complexity and span a wide range of difficult and unique issues across the multiple engine line responsibilities + 10-20% travel is anticipated Qualifications You Must Have: + BS in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering + 14+ years of engineering experience or 12+ years with an advanced degree with project management experience. + US Citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements. + Must be able to obtain a security clearance. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
