Okta Engineer Consultant - Communities, Energy and Infrastructure

What You Will Do:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Okta Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The Okta Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of client Okta identity and access management solution. This role requires a deep understanding of Okta's capabilities and best practices to ensure secure and efficient access management across our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain Okta identity and access management solutions

Integrate Okta with various applications and systems to include on-prem and cloud/SaaS to streamline authentication and authorization processes

Develop and configure Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solutions using Okta

Perform regular system audits and security assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Okta configurations and integrations

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement identity management solutions that meet business needs

Provide technical support and training to internal teams and end-users on Okta functionalities

Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Okta and identity management technologies


What You Will Need:

Bachelor’s degree AND a minimum of three (3 )years related industry experience

A minimum of three (3) years of experience as an Okta Engineer

Strong understanding of identity and access management principles and best practices

Experience with Okta administration, including SSO, MFA, and API integrations

Familiarity with custom Okta Application Integrations (aka connectors)

Familiarity with security protocols such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Ability to travel as required

The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described

Due to nature of client engagements, US Citizenship restrictions may apply

Currently reside in the contiguous United States. Candidates within fifty (50) miles of a Guidehouse office and may be required to work a hybrid work schedule

What Would Be Nice To Have:

MBA or Master’s degree in cybersecurity, risk management, or related discipline

Relevant certifications (e.g., Okta Certified Professional)

Preference will be given to candidates who reside a reasonable amount of miles of a Guidehouse office.

* Level of hire will be determined through Guidehouse interviewing process

The annual salary range for this position is $94,900.00-$142,300.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
