Conducts regular walk-thru's of all units at the RTC and is readily available to assist and respond in cases of emergency or crisis Ensures good housekeeping practices, clean grounds, and a safe environment for residents
Participates in the recruitment and selection of Child Care staff
Directly supervises all assigned Supervisors, Senior CCWs and supervises and/or oversees the supervision of all assigned CCWs
Follows regulatory compliance with relevant agency, state and funding source standards
Completes all necessary reports and paperwork in a timely manner
Models and promotes dependable, responsible, accountable and ethical staff behavior, positive norms and teamwork primacy
Confronts and effectively discourages negative behavior and attitude (staff and residents)Immediately reports errors, situations and other issues to the Residential Director and/or Program Director
Qualifications - External
High School Diploma required; Associates or Bachelors preferred
Knowledge of Human Services highly desirable
Successful experience and achievement in children’s residential services absolutely essential
Familiarity with the population served and ability to maintain a sensitive approach to the needs of all residentsAcceptable background check clearance through State Central Registry, NYS Justice Center, and compliance with annual physical and mantoux testing required
A valid NYS Driver’s License
