Job Summary
The Hospital Chaplain is a professional chaplain with education, credentials, and 4 units of CPE. Works under the supervision of the Coastal Market Manager – Spiritual Care. Works as a colleague with other Chaplains. Contributes to the educational programs of CPE; and as a member of the interdisciplinary team providing spiritual care to patients, families and staff. Uses spiritual care knowledge and skills to effectively manage plans of care for patients in developmental stages Neonate (0-28 days), Pediatric (1 month - 12 years), Adolescent (13 - 17), Adult (18 - 72) and Geriatric (72+ years). Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:
+ Provides spiritual care to patients, families, and staff in assigned clinical areas.
+ Participates in the interdisciplinary team approach to patient care.
+ Participates in the 24 hour in house spiritual care on call rotation.
+ Conducts inter-faith chapel, as scheduled.
+ Participates in departmental meetings, projects and community education.
+ Complies to accrediting body standards.
+ Demonstrates Standards of Performance (ownership, communication, compassion, teamwork) that support patient satisfaction and principles of service excellence.
+ Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications
+ Education: High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree or Master of Divinity (or equivalent) preferred.
+ Licensure/Certifications: Successful completion of two (2) units of ACPE CPE required. Completed in-person interview with the Director of Spiritual Care.
+ Experience: One year ministry experience preferred.
