We’re seeking a On Call Union Baker to join our team at Rivea where you’ll have the chance to specialize in these delightful baked goods. In this role, you'll focus on perfecting our range of breads and pastries, ensuring each product meets our high standards of flavor and quality.

THE JOB: 

As an On Call Union Baker for Rivea, you are an essential part of guest experience. Your passion for baking, and personable demeanor will set the stage for the memories that they can carry with them well past their stay with us. By delivering top-notch guest experiences alongside your delicious creations, you play a crucial role in elevating their overall experience.

THE STARTING PAY RATE:  $22.057

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Prepare dishes by following recipes and yield guides accurately

Assist in decorating cakes and pastries with attention to detail

Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu and ensure precise plate presentation

Monitor and uphold cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas

Process and place all requisitions in their designated areas

Properly label and date products to ensure safety and hygiene

Set up and break down your workstation as needed

Regularly replenish food and kitchen supplies required for service

Communicate effectively with management, chefs, and service staff to address and fulfill any guest needs and resolve issues

REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma, GED or educational equivalent

Must be a minimum of 21 years of age

Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Food Handlers card

Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Previous experience working in a similar resort setting, or high-volume environment

Has 1 or more years of experience as a cook or baker

Has a flexible schedule

Working knowledge of weights and measures

Knowledge of standard kitchen equipment and supplies, including, but not limited to toasters, refrigerators, and coolers, slicers, beverage machines, mixers, VCR and small wares

Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively

Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
