Freese and Nichols, Inc. (FNI) is currently searching for an urban planner to join our award-winning Urban Planning and Design Group in a part-time on-call capacity, ideal for individuals seeking professional work but not necessarily on a full-time basis. The position will primarily support staff augmentation to urban planning and development services functions of cities and counties, such as development application review, long-range planning efforts, and other planning issues. The candidate must be a well-organized self-starter, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

QualificationsRequired Skills and Qualifications:
5+ years of urban planning-related work experience. Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or related planning field required. AICP CertifiedProficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong verbal and written communication skills.Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Urban Planning. Prior work with or in a municipal planning department or consulting firm desirable.
